All the contest entries will be put through a rigorous shortlisting process with the Jury members taking time out from their busy schedules! The shortlisted entries will be up for VOTING! RULES & REGULATIONS

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. Only ONE entry per contestant will be accepted. Any subsequent submissions will be rejected immediately.
  2. All contestants part of the audio category have to use atleast 50% of the original audio files shared with them in their remixes.
  3. All contestants part of the video category have to use Tuborg elements for atleast 30% of the length of the video, i.e. 20 secs of the 60 secs will have tuborg elements being showcased. This can be broken down in parts and need to be showcased together. Also, 30% of the elements will be Sunburn elements, i.e. Logo.
  4. All entries can be made for public viewership and shared only AFTER the JURY SHORTLIST HAS BEEN RELEASED!
  5. CONTEST ENTRIES SHUT ON 18TH DEC @ 12 NOON!
  6. All entries will have to be kept under private viewership! So for the audio heads keep your RMX as private on soundcloud, and for the visual junkies keep your Youtube uploads 'Private' as well!
  7. Share the embed code of your entries in the media section! This tab too will be private until the voting opens after the Jury have chosen your top 10!
  8. The decisions made by the Jury will be considered final and cannot be contested or appealed against.
  9. All entries once submitted will be property of Sunburn & Percept.
  10. All shortlisted entries will be up for voting on the SAVC portal, your votes are crucial, so lend an ear and support your artists!
  1. Every contestant has to register on the Sunburn AVC microsite.
  2. All contestants sending their entries for the audio category will not share or use the original files of the track for any other commercial purpose
  3. All contestants part of the audio category have to use atleast 50% of the original audio files shared with them in their remixes.
  4. All contestants part of the video category have to use Tuborg elements for atleast 30% of the length of the video, i.e. 20 secs of the 70 secs will have tuborg elements being showcased. This can be broken down in parts and need to be showcased together.
  5. All entries submitted are a property of Sunburn and Percept
  6. All entries have to be submitted within the stipulated time period of the contest. All entires post the deadline will be considered void.
  7. Every contestant will have to provide valid documents proving their identity if required
  8. Disqualification of any entry is non-contestable & non-appealable.
  9. Votes will only be considered final after they have registered on the microsite.
  10. Every contestant hereby agrees not to distribute original parts of the track or elements of Tuborg Zero for any commercial / personal / private use.
  11. Winners will not contest with the gratification that is awarded.
  12. All audio entries need to be mixed and mastered.
  13. Original files of the audio and video entries will have to be shared with Sunburn & Percept.
  14. The contestants hereby grant Sunburn & Percept the right to further use the tracks for their own commercial purposes if need be.
  15. Sunburn does not encourage negative advertisement and/ or negative promotion of the contest, or any submission.
  16. If any declared winner is unable to attend Sunburn Goa 2012, have to inform the administration well in advance.
  17. All time slots allotted to the contest winners cannot be contested / appealed against. Besides the instance of any special circumstance
  18. All contestants outside of India have to have a valid passport, with all required documentation ready in the instance of having to apply for a visa to India
  19. All hotel bookings and travel times will not be contested and will be made by Percept / Tuborg
  20. The winner cannot sell / auction / horde their slot time for any personal gain to anyone else
  21. In the instance of a contest winner being unavailable, the runner up will be chosen as the winner.
  22. There will be no royalty charge involved when any track or video are used by Percept for commercial purposes.
  23. Dates for submissions, call for votes, and subsequent announcements are subject to change. Sunburn does not hold any responsibility for any issue arising there after.
  24. All incorrect / invalid registrations will not be considered as part of the entries. Sunburn does not guarantee information reaching the contestant if details are incorrect / invalid.
  25. Music is universal and there are no restrictions to the genre of music you have chosen to make a remix of the track.
  26. There will be no offensive / pornographic / illegal content that will be part of any of the submissions. Such contest entries will be disqualified immediately, and may result in further corrective action being taken by Sunburn & Percept
  27. All contestants have to delete /dispose off the downloaded content provided by Sunburn i.e. original & preview files of the track, Sunburn & tuborg elements alike
  28. All jury shortlisted entries will have to submit a full audio file fomat, being either stereo, .wav, .mp3, .aiff, . we advise you store such formats when you submit your MP3 entries!
  29. All legal issues will be settled in the Mumbai jurisdiction only
  30. Failure to adhere to any of the terms and rules given will lead to immediate repercussive action being taken against the offender.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. What do I have to do to be a part of the contest?
A. Register on the SAVC microsite first and then submit your remix or visualization set before the deadline.


2. What valid documentation do I need to possess?
A. You will need to possess a valid photo ID i.e. passport, License. PAN card. Please note all aspiring artists outside of India MUST have a valid passport.


3. How will the winners be announced?
A. Winners will be notified via email and via social media channels of Sunburn i.e. Facebook & Twitter.


4. Can I use the remix or visuals for any other purpose – personal or commercial?
A. No, all contest submissions are the sole property of Sunburn.


5. Does the Sunburn Anthem & Video contest guarantee a shortcut route to success and fame?
A. Sunburn does not guarantee any of this! The contest is a portal for hidden talent to be found & taken notice of! It is up to YOU as an aspiring artist to get the ball moving!


6. What is the Age Limit?
A. Music. Talent. Appreciation. There are no barriers!


7. Do I have to be an Indian citizen / Person of Indian origin?
A. No, the Sunburn Anthem & Video contest is for every artist from all over the world!


8. Can I make the audio/video upload public, after the jury shortlist has been released?
A. Yes, you can!


9. Can I release my remix on any other label?
A. No, all tracks and submissions are a property of Sunburn & Percept.


10. Will an unmastered or unmixed remix lead to an automatic disqualification?
A. Yes, you can!


12. Will I get a royalty on my track being used for commercial value?
A. No, all track rights rest with Sunburn, after the track has been submitted.


13. Can I use original files of the track once the competition is over?
A. Original files of the track or video components cannot be used for any further than the stipulated period of the contest. Any unlawful use will lead to copyright infringement. All matters will have to settled in the Mumbai Jurisdiction court only.


14. Is there any cash prize involved?
A. Not until further official notice from the Sunburn administration.
